PhD in Sport and Human Movement Sciences

Over the last 20-25 years, there has been an extraordinary boom in the knowledge of sports and human movement sciences. The sports labour market has grown considerably and, correspondingly, the demand for knowledge and added value in products related to movement and sport has also grown. In addition, sport and movement are subjects that can and need to be approached from different sciences. This has lead to an increase in the number of doctoral theses centred on sport, both in Catalonia and internationally. Consequently, this programme aims to meet this demand and, at the same time, accompany and encourage research in one of the fields in which our university has strong potential for attraction and creation of knowledge, with research groups and a research centre.
