If you meet the general admission requirements you may apply for doctoral programme formalizing the doctoral studies application:
1. Go to the UVic-UCC Virtual Campus:
- If you already have access to the Virtual Campus, use your username and password.
- If you already have access to the Virtual Campus, but do not remember the password, use the 'Forgot your password'? option.
- If you do not have an active user account for the Virtual Campus, use the Create an account form. Once created, do not forget to activate it.
2. Go to "UAcademic" app:
When you enter the Virtual Campus, select the UAcadèmic icon to go to the online academic administration area.

- General documents:
- Commitment agreement. This must be signed by the PhD student. Any remaining signatures will be added at a later date by the Doctoral College.
- Photocopy or certified copy of your identity card or passport.
- Thesis project proposal.
- Motivation letter.
- Curriculum.
- Specific documents:
- Students who have studied in Spain (see the information in Spanish or Catalan).
- Students who have studied abroad:
- Submit a copy of your undergraduate diploma and your postgraduate diploma, or equivalent. If your degree has been recognised in Spain, submit a copy of the recognition certificate issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
- If your degree hasn't been recognised in Spain, submit a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of the issuing country confirming that the degree grants access to doctoral studies in the issuing country.
- Submit a copy of your academic records (undergraduate and postgraduate degree) with details of subjects, marks, academic years and the assessment system.
- All documents you submit should be:
- Issued by the relevant authorities in the issuing country.
- Legalised by affixation of the Apostille of the Hague or by the appropriate diplomatic channels. This is not required in the case of documents issued by European Union member states and countries signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or a bilateral agreement with the European Union.

- Other documents required:
- Currículum of the thesis supervisor (external to the UVic-UCC).
- References.
- Certificates or diplomas of competence in a third language.
- Other merits.
- In case of being admitted, you will have to send certified copies of all the academic documentation submitted to your application (in case you have not submitted it electronically signed and with a secure verification code).
Enrolment
When your application has been accepted, you need to enrol at Academic Administration.
You will be required to formalise your enrolment every year, in order to receive academic tuition, use the resources needed to carry out your studies, and to comply with your rights, as outlined in the academic regulation.

At the end of the online self-registration process, you must send a passport-style photo with the characteristics described above, using the "Change your photo" option in the Virtual Campus.
Your photo will be uploaded to the university's database and will become your profile photo, visible in the Virtual Campus and in "Targeta Universitària Intel·ligent (TUI)", an application for smartphones that identifies you as a member of the Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya university community.
Continuing students
1. Second and the following years
Evaluation and enrolment period
Review committee: 1 June - 15 July 2024
Enrolment: 16 - 22 September 2024
Procedure
In order to enrol for your second year, and following years, you will need a favourable Evaluation Report from the Academic Committee of your PhD programme. This report is obtained from the annual report of the review committee, and includes the document of activities (DAD), research plan, reports from the thesis supervisor (and tutor), and a report on the oral presentation of the research project, drawn up by a panel specifically designated by the Academic Committee of the PhD programme.
Once Academic Administration has received a favourable report, you will be contacted to complete the enrolment process.

2. Students who started their doctoral studies in February 2024
Evaluation and enrolment period

Procedure
In order to enrol for your second year, and following years, you need to have your research plan approved by the Academic Committee of your doctoral programme.
Once Academic Administration has received approval, you will be contacted to complete the enrolment process.
Other documents
Public defence enrolment
As outlined in the public defence section, when the Doctoral College has approved arrangements for your public defence, you will need to formalise them at Academic Administration, which costs 800€.
PhD theses deposited before 31 October will be exempt from tutorial enrolment for the following academic year.
