The official qualification of master's degree in General Health Psychology is primarily of interest to Psychology graduates, as it is a professional qualification that entitles graduates to work in the regulated healthcare profession as a General Health Psychologist, as envisaged General Law 33/2011 on Public Health, in the additional seventh provision.
The master's degree provides advanced, specialized training in knowledge and competencies that enable professional development in general health psychology. The master's degree is focused on assessment, diagnosis and psychological intervention in relation to aspects of people's behaviour and activity that affect the prevention and improvement of their general state of health, provided these activities do not require the specialized care of health professionals.
