Objectives
The objective of this subject is to introduce students of the degree in Audiovisual Communication to the study of the legal system in general, and of the law affecting audiovisual communication in particular, so that they gain a critical understanding of its legal system, its specific terminology, and the regulation of audiovisual content (especially the legal limitations on the right to communicate freely and those affecting the field of advertising in the media), without neglecting the study of the different regulatory bodies (including supranational ones) and the bodies with jurisdiction over audiovisual matters.

Evaluation
The evaluation of the subject consists of three parts:
- Student observation and participation in the classroom: 10%
- Internship monitoring results: 50%. This percentage includes the teacher's monitoring of the work completed.
- Specific assessment test/exam: 40%. There is a second test (retake) to recover the theoretical portion of the subject.
Methodology
Although the course is taught in person and is therefore taught in lectures, the University's Virtual Campus is also used, a space where documents (doctrinal articles, rulings from national and international courts, etc.) of great interest to students' comprehensive education are periodically stored. Real-life case studies are also included.
Students should complement their training with commentary and analysis of documents presented in the classroom and online, as well as with assignments on topics covered in class.
