The UVic improves the English version of its web
In order to move towards a quality, multilingual UVic website, this week a new version of the contents has been started up in English. From now on, the pages are grouped to enable users to browse exclusively in this language. Access to the renovated portal is entirely via the home page.
The main novelty is that the English space has its own entity and allows users to browse entirely in English, therefore reducing the chance of landing on untranslated pages. Up to now it was only possible to access the English version from pages in Catalan or Spanish, and not everything was translated.
This version of the website basically includes contents of interest to the international audience, such as information on the institution, the studies that can be done, university life, the international campus and the search for transfer of knowledge. There is also a section for news and agenda.
In the coming two weeks, you may find some problem with the website while the last checks are being made. Sarah Khan will be coordinating the contents of the English version of the website.
The French and Chinese contents of the UVic website will continue to operate as before.
