Statement by UVic-UCC

University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia expresses its opposition to the precautionary imprisonment of the Catalan vice-president and seven elected parliamentary members of the Catalan Generalitat for acting in response to the mandate of citizens expressed democratically at the polls. We believe that the law courts are not the place where political conflicts should be resolved, and that this is, solely and exclusively, a political conflict.

To express our disagreement, we call you to gather together in protest at 12 noon in front of Torre dels Frares Campus. The protest will be followed by the Campus UVic course inauguration.
