New 'Study Abroad' programmes begin, exceeding pre-pandemic figures
After more than two years of being affected by Covid-19, the Study Abroad international programmes begin this September with numbers that far exceed pre-pandemic enrolments.
The programme will involve a total of 98 students this autumn, who are mostly from the United States, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Brazil, and have decided to spend one or two semesters at UVic-UCC to expand their knowledge in the areas of study available there, and to have an international experience.
This consolidates the three programmes that were available in previous years, which were Business, Design and Innovation, taught at the BAU (Barcelona University Design Centre), which is now in its eighth fully consolidated edition; the Engineering Study Abroad programme, run by the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Engineering, which started last year, and the International Business and Marketing Study Abroad programme run by the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, created with courses from the bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management. The latter two are taught on the Vic Campus.
The consolidation of the international programmes also reinforces institutional links with other universities. These include the links with the Pôle Leonard De Vinci in Paris, which is responsible for all the students who have been hosted on the Vic Campus this September.
The number of students on the programme located in Barcelona continues to rise, and the nationalities of origin of the students are also becoming increasingly diverse.
