Eleven FEC students take part in the Open Mind Programme for fashion marketing in Paris
A group of eleven FEC students are participating in the Fashion Marketing Open Mind Programme, a short-term mobility programme that takes place at the French Mod'Spe fashion creativity and business school in Paris, from 13 to 18 November. The programme, which was organised by the Faculty's International Unit, was aimed above all at Marketing and Business Communication and Advertising and Public Relations students, although it was also open to students on other courses at the centre.
Key areas of the French fashion market are explored over the course of a week, including cross-cultural management; the French market and its consumers, the importance of art in French fashion, the heterogeneous nature of the retail scene in Paris, the history of French fashion and its leading brands and the French art de vivre, by means of an immersion in the Parisian lifestyle. The programme also includes visits to renowned boutiques and department stores, as well as lectures on topical issues such as the circular economy and new business models in the world of fashion and luxury fashion.
The Fashion Marketing Open Mind Programme provides knowledge of the French market, as well as a method for analysing foreign markets and the foundations for an international career. Although the course is based around the French lifestyle, the working language of the programme is English.
