The University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia offers a two-week intensive programme on business administration. The Bootcamp in Business Administration is an intensive programme designed to respond to the complexity of today’s business, starting with the individual, going through the most relevant topics of business management and ending with the interpretation and understanding of a particularly complex and new environment. It provides a general vision of organisations as interactive systems, in which the different pieces must follow a joint strategy and coherent operational plan. Thus, business is approached strategically, understanding that administration of an organisation is not only a matter of management but also of leadership of the human team that makes it up.

The Bootcamp in Business Administration is an ideal programme for all those managers, entrepreneurs and business owners who wish to broaden their knowledge of business and management through a deep analysis of each of the different areas of a company.

- Design Thinking
This module introduces participants to innovation through identifying new products and services using empathy with users and customers. "Design Thinking" is a useful methodology that helps any company to understand user and customer needs using creativity, prototyping and receiving constant feedback. - Innovation and entrepreneurship
This module lays the groundwork for developing a better understanding of digital entrepreneurship and the skills necessary to enhance personal creativity and one’s ability to engage in entrepreneurial initiative and innovation. Participants will learn the main steps in the elaboration of business idea and in the entrepreneurial process. - Organizational Behaviour and Change Management
This module raises awareness of the growing importance of understanding strategy organizational behaviour as firms are continuously challenged by threats and opportunities. Participants will learn about how digital transformation is driving economic change and its impact on society and the characteristics and stages of organizational change to develop a rich understanding of the processes to support the changes. - Marketing Strategy
This module aims to foment a global and integrated vision of marketing decision-making (corporate and product, strategic and operational) that allows one to experience the process in consumer business to business markets, from prior strategic definition to effective implementation. - Competitive Strategy
This module helps participants to develop successful corporate strategies that lead to sustainable growth. They will learn to analyse the external competitive environment in relation to the internal structure and explore how firms can anticipate and influence their rivals’ competitive behaviour. Participants will gain the ability and necessary tools to evaluate firm strategy. - Leadership
Strategy and planification is a key activity in any business, to carry it out and implement it through your team is the key to success. In this module, participants will gain self-awareness to understand their skills to manage teams, manage conflicts, and use persuasion techniques to get commitment from people involved in the strategy of the company. - Intercultural Management
This module introduces cultural similarities and differences between individuals, corporations and nations around the world. Advanced knowledge about the cultural divisions between countries allow to analyse the actions and reactions of business partners, customers and employees. - Financial Decision Making and Managerial Economics
This module aims to transmit the principles, methods and instruments of finance in today’s digital companies. It includes financial analysis of the balance sheet and its dynamics, construction of forecast financial documents, valuation of investments in uncertain conditions, choice of the appropriate financial structure and determination of capital costs. - Corporate Governance: Business Ethics and Social Responsibility
This module aims to provide executives with the practical competences in business ethics and corporate social responsibility for corporate governance. New technologies are the pillars of nowadays businesses and management, which must be used and applied under strong ethics constraints.
