The Double Degree in Early Childhood Education and Primary School Teaching, majoring in English is a 5-year pilot programme, part of the Plan for Improvement and Innovation in Teacher Training (MIF) and developed jointly by the Directorate General of Universities, the Inter-University Council of Catalonia, the Education Department and Catalan universities offering teacher training degrees.
The specific curriculum designed by University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) consists of 10 semesters (5 years) and includes a major in English in each of the two degrees (Early Childhood Education and Primary School Teaching).
If you want to take the combined degree in Early Childhood and Primary School Teaching, you need to pass the Personal Aptitude Test (PAP). UVic organises short preparatory courses to help students prepare for the PAP for Teachers.
We strongly recommend that you have a level equivalent to B1 in English, although you do not have to provide any accreditation (the combined degree curriculum includes a minimum of 12 ECTS credits taught in English during the first year, to ensure all students attain this level).
Scholarships for the double degree are offered to first-year students who have an average grade of six or more.
